Mohammad Saleem is an orphan. He and his four younger siblings live with their grandparents in Behar, India. But Mohammad’s grandparents are old and very poor. They have difficulty caring for the children.
Hunger is a reality of daily life for thousands of people crippled by poverty in India. Mohammad’s family have little food to go around, and the children (aged 5 to 11) are malnourished. AMWT’s Qurbani distribution this year made Eid al-Adha extra special for Mohammad and his family. The meat they received was cause alone to celebrate. AMWT always works to provide for the most underprivileged communities in the developing world.
