Here are some brilliant things your Zakat can achieve

What is Nisab?

Nisab is the minimum amount of wealth that a Muslim must possess in order to pay Zakat. Using the weight of gold, 87.48 grams or silver, 612.36, the Nisab makes sure that everybody is dealt fairly by only being applicable to those who have the ability to do so. Zakat becomes due if total assets are worth more than this amount for a lunar year. The concept of Nisab is based on mercy so that no undue burden is placed on those struggling to meet their needs.

How is Zakat Calculated?

Zakat is usually calculated as 2.5% of surplus wealth, including the surplus amount in savings accounts, investments, and assets after deducting liabilities. First, add up total assets, then subtract any debts and responsibilities. Now, make sure that the remaining amount meets the Nisab threshold. Zakat helps Muslims fulfill their duties as well as contribute straight to the lives of unfortunate ones.

Who is Eligible to Pay Zakat?

If a Muslim possesses wealth over Nisab level for one lunar year, he is eligible to pay Zakat. This applies to people who are wealthy enough with savings and assets to qualify. Giving Zakat is an obligation and also an honor that purifies wealth, makes the world a better place.
