Alhumdulillah! We formally launched Waqfiyyat Al Mustafa with Royal Hashemite Court-Jordan on 11 December 2022. His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein and Palestinian President Mr. Mahmoud Abbas formally signed the Al Mustafa Waqfiyyat documents, which were initiated in September 2022.
The project Concept
Al-Imam Ahmad narrated that Maimunah said: “O Messenger of God, tell us about Bayt Al-Maqdis.” He said: “It is the land of the Resurrection and the Gathering. Go and pray there, for one prayer there is like one thousand prayers elsewhere.” I said: “What if I cannot travel and go there?” He said: “Then send a gift of oil to light its lamps, for whoever does that is like one who goes there.”
(Narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad (6/463).
This project is initiated from the unshakeable belief in the solemn duty to protect and defend Jerusalem and the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. Through the waqf, and with the generous help of our donors Insha’Allah, 1000’s of Muslims of Al-Quds will collectively read the Qur’an in its entirety in the mosques and places of learning in the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and particularly in the Blessed Dome of the Rock Mosque. You can play your role to protect Masjid-Al-Aqsa, its spiritual values and its Islamic Heritage.
Select from donations below
The Qur’an will be read in the mornings or evenings and throughout the week. Reading the Qur’an in its entirety in the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque repeatedly, continuously, and permanently will support the steadfastness of Jerusalemites, endow Al-Aqsa Mosque with Muslim worshippers, and increase the preponderance of Muslims in it, Insha’Allah. Being a donor of the waqf is an application of the Noble Hadith: “Then send a gift of oil to light its lamps, for whoever does that is like one who goes there.”
All donors who donate GBP 1000+, will get a video at the time on Khatam-ul-Quran Dua with their names within 3 months of their donations
It is a message to all who think that Muslims do not care about Al-Aqsa Mosque and that Al-Haram Al-Sharif is no longer deeply-rooted in their hearts and minds.
It also aims to reap the blessings of reading the Qur’an in its entirety in Al-Aqsa Mosque continuously, repeatedly, and permanently, and to in- crease the preponderance of Muslims in Al-Haram Al-Sharif.
In addition, the waqf aims to support the Jerusalemites regardless of political conflicts. And to revive the long tradition of Islamic endowments (waqfs) preserving Al-Aqsa Mosque.
To increase Muslims participation and visitor numbers as the numbers non-Muslim tourists who storm Al-Aqsa have increased tenfold between 2010–2022 and they are accompanied by tour guides who present Al-Aqsa Mosque as a Jewish place of worship.
The supervising authority is the Waqf’s Council whose members include legal entities such as: the Jerusalem Awqaf Council, the Hashe- mite Fund for the Restoration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, the Administration of the Jerusalem Awqaf and the Affairs of Al-Aqsa Mosque
