In commemorating the sacrifice of the Prophet Ibrahim (as), our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) would offer his Qurbani and then offer another on behalf of his ummah and those who could not afford to do it themselves. At Al Mustafa Welfare, we invite you to revive this beautiful sunnah of the Prophetic Qurbani.

Give two Qurbani's, one for yourself and one on behalf of somebody whose circumstances do not allow them to do it for themselves.

Each year in Dhul Hijja, we give Qurbani to honor the selfless sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (as).

Prophet Ibrahim (as) had a frightening dream where Allah was commanding him to sacrifice his son, Ismail (as) for His sake. Prophet Ibrahim (as) was deeply shaken and upset, as he believed this dream was a command from Allah. Upon hearing of his father’s dream, Ismail (as) said: "O my father! Do as you are commanded: you will find me, if Allah so wills, one practicing patience and constancy."

When Prophet Ibrahim (as) carried out the command and attempted to sacrifice his own, beloved son, Allah (swt) replaced Ismail (as) with a ram.
