Qurbani Donation 2026

With Dhul Hijjah approaching, the sacred duty of Qurbani 2026 returns.

For over 40 years, Al Mustafa Welfare Trust has delivered your Qurbani to families who need it most, across Gaza, Yemen, Sudan, Lebanon and beyond. Infact, the same communities facing hardship and still waiting for relief.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“For every hair of the Qurbani, you receive a reward from Allah (SWT).”

Tirmidhi

Qurbani is more than an annual ritual. It is a sacred obligation and a chance to bring a relief to those who need it most. During last Eid ul Adha, your Qurbani reached 3.1 million people across 21 countries, delivered fresh meat, dignity, nourishment, and joy on a day that matters most.

This year, Qurbani starts from just £25. So, choose your animal and choose your country. From a single share to a full sacrifice, and from Africa to Asia and the Middle East, decide where your Qurbani will make the greatest impact, and we’ll deliver it to those who need it most.

Ramadan showed what your giving can do. Now let your Qurbani Donation carry that mercy forward.

What is Qurbani?

Qurbani is the sacred act of sacrificing an animal during Eid al Adha. Performed on the 10th, 11th, and 12th days of Dhul Hijjah, it commemorates the devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who was willing to sacrifice his son Ismail for the sake of Allah Almighty.

It is neither their flesh nor their blood that reaches Allah; it is your piety that reaches Him.”

(Al-Quran 22:37)

Who Needs to Give Qurbani?

Qurbani is Wajib (obligatory) for every sane adult Muslim who possesses wealth equal to or above the Nisab threshold, the same eligibility criteria as Zakat. Those who are not of sound mind are exempt from this obligation.

Which Animals are Eligible?

The eligible animals for Qurbani are goats, sheep, cows, buffaloes, and camels. All must meet specific age and health requirements to be valid. A sheep or goat must be at least one year old and counts as one person's share, while a cow or camel must be at least two years old and can cover seven shares.

What is the Prophetic Qurbani?

Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave two Qurbanis every year, one on his own behalf, and one for those unable to give. By giving a Prophetic Qurbani, you revive this beautiful Sunnah and multiply your reward in Dhul Hijjah.

The Cost of Qurbani in 2026

The cost of Qurbani in 2026 varies by country and animal type, with the cheapest qurbani starting from £25. Al Mustafa Welfare Trust offers Qurbani across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

For instance, in India, Qurbani is more affordable due to lower local animal costs and bulk purchasing; a cow share starts from just £25, making it the most accessible option for UK donors.

A sheep or goat for Qurbani can cost from £70 to £440 depending on the region, providing enough fresh meat to feed a family for weeks or months.

Case Study – Sophia Ali's Story

Sophia Ali Kulisa lives in Kuruso, a remote village far from the nearest city. Like many families in her community, daily life is a quiet struggle, food and clean water are scarce, and most families survive by making charcoal and selling firewood. The little food they can afford is rarely balanced, and fresh meat is something they taste only once a year.

During last Eid al-Adha, Al Mustafa Welfare Trust's local team arrived in Kuruso to distribute Qurbani meat to the village. For Sophia, for the children, and for every family who gathered that day, it was more than a nutritious meal, it was a celebration.

"Today is a joyful day," Sophia said, smiling.

"Children and everyone in the village came to receive and eat the meat. You have brought us so much joy. May God bless you and bring more in the future."
