You Helped Us Reach Over 3.8 Million People This Eid al-Adha

Alhamdulillah - together, we carried mercy forward.

When we launched our Qurbani 2026 campaign, “Carry Mercy Forward”, we set ourselves an ambitious goal: to deliver Sharia-compliant Qurbani to more than 3 million people across 21 countries. Thanks to your extraordinary generosity, we did not just reach that goal, we exceeded it.

This Eid al-Adha, your sacrifice reached 3,804,506 people across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. For many of these families, the Qurbani meat you provided was the only fresh meat they will taste all year. For families in Gaza, Yemen, and Sudan, it was far more than a meal, it was a sign that the Ummah has not forgotten them.

Qurbani Achievements!

People Helped 3,804,506
Total Meat Distributed 549,316 kg
Number of Qurbani Shares 30,030
Total Number of Cows 4,290

Your Qurbani was distributed across three regions, prioritising communities facing conflict, displacement, and extreme poverty:

  • Asia - 83%: Reaching vulnerable families in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and beyond, where a single cow share can feed an entire household for weeks.
  • Africa - 9%: Supporting drought-affected and food-insecure communities where fresh meat is not easily accessible.
  • Middle East - 8%: Delivering Qurbani to families enduring the most desperate conditions, including the displaced families of Gaza, Yemen, and Sudan.

How Your Qurbani Was Delivered

Every animal was sourced locally from trusted suppliers, health-checked to meet Islamic requirements, and sacrificed by trained Muslim butchers during the prescribed days of Eid, after the Eid prayer on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah and before sunset on the 13th.

Our field teams, who know their communities best, identified the families most in need, widows, orphans, the elderly, and households living below the international poverty line of approximately £1.70 a day. Then, share by share, your sacrifice was placed directly into their hands.

“The Eid We Will Never Forget” - Hamama’s Story from Gaza

Qurbani Impact in 2026

Behind every number is a family, and behind every family is a story. This Eid, our team in Gaza met Hamama and Muhammad Abdullah, displaced from their home and now living in a camp in Al-Qarara. With their permission, we share their story.

Before Eid, Hamama’s family was facing impossible circumstances. No proper clothes for the holiday. No money. No hope of celebrating the way they once did.

“We were preparing for an Eid without the basic essentials, something we never imagined we would experience. In the days before Eid, we managed with very little: a simple meal of one tomato and a few spices, and a few small cups of tea. We ate what we had, rested, and made it through the day.”

Even clean water had become a precious commodity. The water available in the camp often came from contaminated sources, and the family was forced to buy whatever they could afford.

Then your Qurbani Arrived.

Through the generosity of Al Mustafa Welfare Trust donors, Hamama’s family received fresh Qurbani meat in time for Eid, along with the clean water and essential supplies our teams deliver to families in the camps every two months. For the first time in months, the family was able to prepare a proper meal together and feel the joy of Eid of Eid al Adha.

“To our benefactor, I say: thank you a thousand times over. May Allah protect you, grant you health and prosperity, increase your goodness, and reward you abundantly for your kindness. We are grateful to Allah first, and then to every person who remembered us during this Eid.”

Qurbani beneficiary in 2026

Hamama’s story is one of more than 3.8 million. Every share you gave carried this same mercy into a tent, a village, or a camp somewhere in the world.

A Sacrifice That Repeats the Legacy of Ibrahim (AS)

Qurbani is more than a donation, it is an act of worship passed down from Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his son Ismail (AS), a testament of ultimate devotion to Allah (SWT). Many of you also gave a Prophetic Qurbani, reviving the beautiful Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who would offer one sacrifice for himself and another on behalf of those in his Ummah who could not afford it. This year, those additional sacrifices meant thousands more families were fed in his blessed name.

Thank You and a Dua for You

None of this would have been possible without you. From the family in Gaza tasting fresh meat for the first time in months, to the children in rural Pakistan celebrating Eid with full plates, your sacrifice travelled further than you may ever know.

May Allah (SWT) accept your Qurbani, multiply your reward in these blessed days, and write it in your scale of good deeds. Ameen.

The Need Continues Beyond Eid

While Qurbani has concluded, hunger does not end with Dhul Hijjah. Families in Gaza, Yemen, Sudan, and across the 21 countries we serve still need clean water, food parcels, and emergency relief all year round. If your Qurbani inspired you, we invite you to carry that mercy forward with us, through Sadaqah, sponsoring an orphan, or supporting our water and food appeals.

From all of us at Al Mustafa Welfare Trust: JazakAllah Khair. Your sacrifice supported lives.
