After 20 years of conflict and war in Afghanistan, there has been an increase of violence and suffering in the region. There has been a reported 46% increase in the number of civilians killed and wounded as compared to last year.
In 2021 alone, approximately 550,000 Afghan civilians have fled their homes in light of recent takeover by the Taliban. Thousands are now living without the basic necessities of clean water, food and shelter.
