Sadaqah Jariyah Charity

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. (Sahih Muslim)

At Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust, we strive to be the best Sadaqah Jariyah charity and by that we mean a charity that offer relevant projects that uphold the beautiful hadith above.

What is Sadaqah Jariyah?

Sadaqah Jariyah is a beautiful charity that offers ongoing rewards throughout our lives in this world, as well as in the Hereafter. Sadaqah Jariyah charity can be given for yourself, and also on behalf of family and friends and deceased loved ones. At Al Mustafa Welfare Trust, many of our programmes have been designed to facilitate this beautiful act of charity. The unique and sustainable projects we have created across the world give us all the option to make a difference to the lives of people for years to come, ensuring that we also join in the benefit of ongoing reward.

Sadaqah Jariyah projects continue to benefit the recipients for a long time, giving continuous, ongoing reward to those who have donated.

With your Sadaqah Jariyah, our life-changing and sustainable projects enable us to make a difference to the lives of people for years to come, ensuring that we also join in the benefit of ongoing reward. This means you will receive countless rewards for a single donation, even after you have passed away. You can even give on behalf of a deceased loved one, as they will continue to gain reward from it for as long as people benefit from it.

Allah tells us in the Qur’an that the reward of spending in charity is like:

"A grain of corn which grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains” [Qur’an, 2:261]

What projects can I give my Sadaqah Jariyah towards?

At Al Mustafa Welfare, we have a number of life-changing Sadaqah Jariyah projects. These include eyecare, water provision, hifz sponsorship and orphan care. You can support these projects for as little as £20 a month.

 Hifz Sponsorship

"The best amongst you are those who learn the Holy Qur’an and teach it".
- Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)

Education is one of the most effective ways to help break the cycle of poverty. Education enables children to grow intellectually and gain the skills and qualifications needed to flourish. They will have better opportunities and access to education institutes and employment. When children thrive through education, entire communities flourish.

Our Hafiz sponsorship programme gives deprived children access to a Qur’anic education along with shelter, food, quality healthcare. The hifz sponsorship programme even covers general education including teaching English. Our programme helps children to become beacons of light and hope in their communities, and guardians of the Holy Qur’an. Children embark on a three-year study programme. This is a wonderful act of Sadaqah Jariyah, and every good deed this child continues to do will be a source of reward for you.

Orphan Sponsorship

Millions of children around the world have lost one or both parents. This heart-breaking reality leaves children without hope and struggling more than any child should. Without the comfort and support of one or both parents, children fear for their futures. Children become targets for predators and more vulnerable to abuse, neglect and child labour.

At Al Mustafa Welfare Trust, we believe every child deserves a life of happiness and joy. Through our Orphan Sponsorship programme, we ensure that vulnerable children are given the best start to life. We ensure all their needs are met and they receive excellent education. Your Sadaqah Jariyah will truly change their lives.

Water for Life as your Sadaqah Jariyah

Water is the perfect Sadaqah Jariyah charity project. Millions around the world do not have access to clean water and are forced to drink dirty, contaminated water that could kill them.

Our Sustainable water projects not only provide water for years to come, but allow communities to grow with access to education, income opportunities, better healthcare and becoming healthier and stronger. Providing clean water is a true example of how charity keeps multiplying, bringing more and more benefit and reward.

Cataract surgery

Eyesight is a beautiful gift from Allah (swt) that many of us take for granted. There are 285 million people around the world living in darkness, with visual impairments or are blind. Often, the solution is simple: medication, glasses or a simple procedure. However, for millions around the world living in poverty, these simple solutions are too far out of reach. Giving the gift of eyesight is a wonderful act of Sadaqah Jariyah. For just £45, you can provide a cataract surgery and alleviate someone’s blindness. With perfect vision, they will now be able to take back control of their lives, work, spend time with loved ones and help support their family.
