Hounslow, United Kingdom – December 2024: We are pleased to announce the Shelter Project in East London, to help the homeless in United Kingdom during the harsh winter months in partnership with London Borough of Hounslow and Holy Trinity Church Hounslow.
The goal of our collaborative efforts is to save lives by offering people in desperate need life-saving aid, shelter, protection, and hot meals for two times for more than 20 people on a daily basis.
Along with that, we are also collaborating with the eight different boroughs including London Borough of Waltham Forest, London Borough of Tower Hamlets, London Borough of Hackney, London Borough of Newham, London Borough of Redbridge, City of London, London Borough of Barking & Dagenham and London Borough of Havering.
For the next upcoming three months, our project will provide 24/7 shelter services, accommodating up to 50 individuals at a time and it does more than just providing food, it gives people hope, dignity and a sense of belonging to those who have been forgotten.
With an estimated around 1935 individuals experiencing homelessness in London, accounting for almost 14.2% of the population. The people are dealing with immense challenges where extremely cold winter conditions make their problems ever worse. During this winter, providing them relief from the cold with a place to sleep, dinner and breakfast and vital services are not just necessary but it’s a lifeline.
Talking about the initiative, a spokesperson remarked:
"No one should have to pick between hunger and cold. Our collaborative efforts are not just about giving people a place to live and food; it is also about restoring their hopes and showing them kindness. We want to bring warmth and love to those who feel like they have been forgotten. Your support helps us to save lives".
