CHANGE LIVES

THIS RAMADAN

Ramadan 2020

What is Ramadan?

During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world won't eat or drink from sun rise to sun set. The foundation of Islam is supported by 5 pillars. Ramadan is the fourth pillar of Islam.

Not just food or drink, you can even go one step further and sacrifice several activities that brings you pleasure. This can include watching movies, playing football, smoking, any recreational activity that brings you pleasure.

Ramadan represents a time of fasting, prayer and devotion to the religion of Islam. It is also the month when the holy Qur'an was revealed therefore it is encouraged to read the Qur'an.

It is also a month when a significant number of muslims give charity in the form of Sadaqah or Sadaqah Jariyah, and Zakat. You can find out how much Zakat you need to pay by using our Zakat calculator here.

When is Ramadan?

Ramadan 2020 begins after sunset on Friday 24 April, ending at sunset on Saturday May 23, 2020.

Also, if you're working or have a busy routine, it can be particularly difficulty to keep up fasting. But you are not alone and this single piece of knowledge can help you complete the 30 days of fasting with Allah's blessing. Identify your friends or family members, your gym buddy or work colleagues who are also fasting and by having such great company around you, it will give you strength to fast 30 days straight and come out healthy in mind, body and spirit.
