Where Does Your Qurbani Go?

When you donate Qurbani with Al Mustafa Welfare Trust, your sacrifice follows a transparent, carefully managed journey:

Step 1:

When you select a specific country or choose 'Where Most Needed', our teams allocate based on the greatest need.

Step 2:

Our on-the-ground teams purchase a healthy, Shariah-compliant animal directly from local farmers. Buying locally keeps costs fair and supports local agricultural economies.

Step 3:

All animals are slaughtered by qualified personnel within the permitted days of Eid al-Adha (10th–12th Dhul Hijjah), after the Eid prayer.

Step 4:

Our local teams, who know their communities, identify the most vulnerable families: widows, orphans, the elderly, and those living in extreme poverty.

Step 5:

Fresh meat is distributed directly to families. For many, this is the only fresh meat they receive all year.

In 2025, this process reached 3.1 million people across 21 countries. We aim to reach even more in 2026 with your support.

We offer a special 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah programme, allowing you to schedule daily donations across these blessed days, maximising your reward throughout the season. Visit our 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah page to set up your giving plan today.

Yes. Many Muslims choose to give additional Qurbanis, for example, one on behalf of themselves and one on behalf of a deceased parent, or extra Qurbanis as additional acts of charity. There is no upper limit. Each additional Qurbani adds to your charitable impact and is a source of extra reward.

Qurbani in Gaza is significantly more expensive due to the severe humanitarian crisis that has dramatically restricted the movement of goods, animals, and personnel. Al Mustafa Welfare Trust maintains an active Qurbani programme in Gaza because the need there is among the greatest in the world.
