Water is Lifeline

Water is Life. Our survival depends on it, shaping every part of our daily lives. For millions, however, clean and accessible water is a distant dream. Many times around the globe, people search for something as simple as drinking water by walking miles daily.

This daily struggle consumes time, energy, and opportunities for a better future. Water wells, as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity), offer clean water and hope, changing lives today and for generations to come.

The Struggle for Water

Imagine a mother getting up early to get water and ready for a long walk. Instead of attending school, her children accompany her on this tiring path. This is what millions of families have to deal with every day.

According to WHO report, an estimated 1 in 3 people globally lack access to safe drinking water. Walking miles under challenging conditions and carrying huge water containers barely meeting daily needs, women and children bear the heaviest burden.

The constant search for water limits the potential of families  because they have to look for water constantly. They have to focus on staying alive instead of going to school, making money, or improving their community. For women and children significantly, the physical strain of these walks also compromises health. It is a vicious cycle where the lack of clean water traps families in poverty.

The Miracle of a Water Well: A Village Transformed

Thanks to [Anonymous] water well donor, her gift to the Al Mustafa Clean Water Project is providing a lifeline to a whole village. With her water well charity, we installed a freshwater well at Chak No. 49-DNB, District Bahawalpur, Pakistan.

This well provides water to almost 45 to 60 families who struggle daily to cover long distances to fetch clean water. The location selected for the well was severely underdeveloped, and water shortage was a big problem. This gift is changing lives and providing families with a better and healthier future. This well will serve this village for many years and bring blessings for her, Insha’ Allah.

Water Wells as a Lifelong Investment

World Health Organization (WHO) states that access to clean water saves 1.4 million lives every year. Aside from health benefits, clean water also improves sanitation, lowers the risk of water-borne diseases, and helps communities grow over time. Where water wells are constructed, life expectancy rises, child mortality rates decline, and local businesses start to flourish. By investing in a water well, you are investing in sustainable development for forgotten communities. This gift will not only change people's lives today but also bring hope and wealth to future generations.

Help Build a Water Well, Change a Generation

" Giving water is one of the best forms of charity" (Sunan al-Nasā’ī 3664).

When you give people clean water, you provide them with a lifeline. You are allowing them to concentrate on health, education, and growth. You are changing the future generation.

Be the spark of hope. Donate today with Al Mustafa Welfare Trust to build water well and become part of a legacy that will change generations. Your kindness will not only be felt today but will continue to bring rewards to this world and the Hereafter.
