100% Zakat Policy

Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam, and a source of wealth purification for adult Muslims who meet a nisab threshold. The Nisab is calculated based on the value of gold or silver.

When you choose to pay Zakat, you want your Zakat to reach most deserving people around the world. That is why we proudly follow a 100% Zakat Policy, ensuring that every single penny of your Zakat goes directly to those in need because it is handled with responsibility, care, and integrity from the moment you donate.

What Does 100% Zakat Policy Mean?

Our 100% Zakat Policy means that:

Every pound, dollar, or rupee you pay Zakat is allocated strictly to eligible recipients.
No administrative or operational costs are deducted from your Zakat funds.
Your Zakat donations is distributed according to the eight categories mentioned in the Holy Qur’an (Surah At-Tawbah 9:60).

We cover our operational and administrative expenses from our multiple ongoing projects such as Gift Aid, Sadaqah, general donations, and other allocated funds. This ensures that your Zakat remains pure and fully dedicated to the beneficiaries without any admin cost.

Our 100% Donation Policy is Sharia Compliant!

Our Zakat distribution process follows Islamic scholars guidelines, who ensure that funds are collected, managed, and distributed according to Islamic principles. Every project funded through Zakat is carefully reviewed to confirm that beneficiaries meet the eligibility criteria defined in Shariah.

Administration of Zakat donations

Allah Almighty stated in the Quran that:

Zakat is only for poor and the needy,  for those employed to administer it, and other eligible recipients.

(Surah at-Tawbah 9:60)

Al Mustafa Welfare Trust is proud to maintain 100% Zakat Policy for more than 40 years, that means your Zakat directly helps deserving communities without our Zakat administrators deductions.

Besides, we are working with the aid partners to reach the families affected by natural disasters around the world, as mentioned in the Holy Quran, they are entitled to use up to 12.5% of Zakat for expenses such as transportation.

Transparency of Your Zakat since 1983

When you donate, you deserve clarity about how your donations are used. Alhamdulillah, we maintained strong monitoring and reporting systems from previous 40 years.

We ensure that your zakat fund is tracked carefully from donations to distribution, projects are regularly monitored for effectiveness and donors are informed about the impact of their support. We are one of the oldest charities in the UK serving people in more than 25 countries.

Al Mustafa Welfare Trust allows you to be confident that your charity is going where you intended. With our commitment to transparency, all details of our Zakat projects are clearly shared in our Annual Report.

Delivering Zakat with Care and Dignity

Zakat charity is not just about financial support, it is about restoring dignity, hope, and stability to vulnerable families. From your charity, we deliver financial aid, emergency aid such as food pack, medical care for those who cannot afford treatment, support for widows and orphaned children, and debt relief for struggling families.

Our goal is not only to provide short-term relief but also to create long-term impact. Wherever possible, we design programs that help individuals regain independence and rebuild their lives with dignity.

Zakat extinguishes sin like water extinguishes fire.

(Tirmidhi 614)

When you give Zakat, you are not just making a Zakat donation. You are fulfilling a religious obligation and making a lasting difference worldwide.

Donate Zakat today and ensure every penny makes the impact it was meant to make.

May Allah (SWT) accept your Zakat donations and multiply its reward. May He make us worthy of the trust you place in us.
