“Blessed is the wealth of the Muslim, from which he gives to the poor, the orphan and the wayfarer.” (Muslim)
You can transform a child’s life for good when you become a sponsor with Al Mustafa Welfare Trust.
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
“Whoever embraces an orphan of two Muslim parents by feeding him and giving him drink until he is independent of him, Paradise will certainly be necessary for him. Whoever emancipates a Muslim man, he will be his freedom from the Hellfire; he will be rewarded for every limb of his in equal measure.”
- Musnad Ahmad 19855
AMWT believe that all children should have an equal chance to thrive. Your sponsorship will make a huge difference to a young girl in need – ensuring she has enough to eat in addition to education and hope for the future.
Sponsor two orphans to secure your place in Jannah.
We are proud to work closely with the young ladies in our sponsorship programme to help them reach their full potential and protect them from challenges they might otherwise face. Underage marriage, abuse, discrimination and poverty are all hurdles that many of us will never have to deal with – but for thousands of girls around the world, they are very real everyday problems that force young girls to sacrifice their independence and education.
However, with your help, we can keep supporting the next generation, guiding them through education and towards a brighter future. From as little as £28, you can help us transform lives through our Orphan Girl Sponsorship programme.
It’s your sponsorship. How do you want it to work?
One Child, One Sponsor
With AMWT’s child sponsorship programme, you will be the sole sponsor for your child. During the months to come, you'll have the chance to learn more about how your gifts are changing lives. The letters and photos you receive will show you the progress we make together until, hopefully, the community no longer needs our support.
Together We Can End Poverty
The commitment you make through child sponsorship enables us to make a commitment of our own to the disadvantaged communities we support. A reliable, long-term source of support is vital to help meet our overall aim - to end poverty. In the months and years ahead, child sponsorship will give you living proof that we really can achieve change together. Our projects on the ground are supported by AMWT's work at a national and international level, benefitting not only the child you are sponsoring but many, many more.
Children Love Getting Letters
Please write to the child you're sponsoring. Children love to receive letters from their 'friend overseas' and they certainly have fun writing back. Whether they write from home or from school, it's an experience they can learn from and enjoy.
Visits are Possible
Feeling adventurous? One of the most rewarding things you can do is to go out and meet the child you are sponsoring. This can mean travelling to a place where few tourists visit and it takes a fair bit of organising, but we can help you to do this. In fact, we’d love to help you arrange a visit! It's normally sensible to allow a minimum of three months to make the necessary checks, get visas, organise travel and make arrangements with the child and their family. So, if you think you might like to make a trip, get in touch and we can start making plans.
There's So Much More You Can Do
Child sponsorship can be just the start of your involvement with AMWT. We can ensure you gain a real insight into the causes of poverty, the solutions that really do work and other things you can do to help end poverty for the child you are sponsoring.
A Healthy Start in Life
We help communities to develop the knowledge, skills and resources necessary to provide proper care for mothers and babies - before, during and after birth.
Nutritious Food and Clean Water
Our work focuses on:
We work to make sure that children can attend safe, healthy and stimulating schools - staffed by competent teachers and stocked with plenty of books. We provide a high-quality education with the aim of encouraging each child to achieve their dreams. With our sponsorship programme, education is compulsory.
Participation in Community Life
We help children and families to claim their rights and voice their concerns, even as high as government level, through lobbying and discussions with decision-makers.
Protection from Abuse and Neglect
We help children to grow up with the skills and knowledge they need to protect themselves from violence and mistreatment - by the law, the state, their family and local community.
Help in Times of Crisis
We support children who find themselves caught up in disasters and work tirelessly to reduce risks and help people prepare for the worst - before it's too late.
