Our beloved mother, [Saheda Jasat], recently returned to our Creator. She was the anchor of our family, a source of endless warmth, and a woman who lived her life with a heart full of love and devotion. To honor her beautiful soul and keep her legacy alive, we are launching this campaign to build a mosque in her name as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity).
Our mother spent her life nurturing others, and we want to ensure her book of good deeds remains open forever. By building a community mosque, we will provide a safe haven for prayers, a place for children to learn the Quran, and a spiritual sanctuary for an underserved community. Every single prayer, prostration, and letter of the Quran recited in this masjid will bring continuous rewards to her soul in the Akhirah, Insha’Allah.The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) gave us beautiful glad tidings for such an action:
“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 450)
When we lose a parent, our hearts grieve, but Islam gives us a beautiful way to continue showing our love for them. The Prophet (pbuh) explicitly guided us on how we can benefit our mothers even after they pass away:
A man said to the Prophet, “My mother died suddenly and I think that if she could speak, she would have given charity. Will she have a reward if I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Yes.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 1388)
