The residents in North Gaza have been living under cruel and constant destruction for more than a year. Communities have been cut off from the rest of the world and suffer without being able to access medical and essential supplies.
According to Al Jazeera News, constant airstrikes killed 640 Palestinians in just 17 days. The Palestinian Authority’s Foreign Ministry warned in a statement on Sunday that “Genocide is unfolding in northern Gaza in its clearest form, in full view of the world.”
The situation is getting worse, and the people in north Gaza are in desperate need of help. Hospitals are overcrowded with patients, many of them youngsters, the elderly, and others with chronic conditions. The already severely damaged healthcare infrastructure in Gaza is about to fail because it cannot handle the growing demand for urgent care and medical supplies.
The Critical Shortage of Medical Supplies in Gaza
People were forced to leave their homes, and many more were displaced or severely injured. Due to the blockade on Gaza, medical supplies are barely getting to Gaza, if they get there at all. Without proper treatment, people are dying every day. According to the statement by the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator, "The pressure on over 400,000 people remaining in northern Gaza to leave southwards is mounting".
In just two weeks, almost 50,000 people were forced to leave the Jabalia area because of the massive attacks, leaving families imprisoned. Many people are fighting for their lives without getting even the essential medical supplies they need to survive.
Essential Supplies: A Lifeline Cut Off
Along with the shortage of medical supplies in North Gaza, food, clean water, and sanitation supplies are also scarce. A humanitarian disaster emerged, restricting access to these fundamental needs. Families are struggling to find survival. Children are malnourished, and diseases are spreading rapidly due to the lack of clean water and hygiene products.
However, at Al Mustafa Welfare Trust, we are striving to help Palestinians in trouble. Through our Palestine & Gaza Emergency Appeal, we deliver essential supplies such as hot meals, hygiene kits, and medical supplies to Gaza's most vulnerable. Together, we can help people get back on their feet and give them hope in the middle of destruction. For that, donate Sadaqah for Gaza and help people in need.
How Al Mustafa Welfare Trust is Helping
We have been working in Palestine since 2014, and we have helped more than 250,000 people and almost 27,000 families in need. Moreover, we extend our helping hands to provide medical supplies to more than 43,000 people. Working closely with the Egyptian Red Crescent and Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization helps us provide relief aid to the people of Gaza.
We are also striving to help equip a new field hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza, in collaboration with the Egyptian Red Crescent. The hospital needs Oxygen Generation Plants, EO Gas Sterilizer Machines, a Doppler Ultrasound device, surgical tools, and more!
