Give the Gift of Warmth
For many refugees, the prospect of another winter left out in the elements is almost too much to bear. Last winter, the harsh conditions at high altitudes became impossible for refugees living in makeshift shelters and many people suffered needlessly. In Lebanon alone, nearly 80% of the 94,540 refugees are women and children and they are struggling to survive without our emergency relief aid.
In winter conditions at this altitude, snow, cold strong winds, heavy rains and freezing temperatures are all too common and it makes living here unbearable.
At Refugees camps in Syria, Lebanon, Turkey and Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, we aim to reach families with the essential emergency relief items they need to stay warm and survive.
In Gaza, we are helping people who affected by the war and have no safe place to reside. We will be distributing fuel, gas heaters, stoves, blankets, winter boots, mattresses, plastic sheeting, food parcels, winter clothes, pillows and carpets to those most in need of our help this winter.
We’re working around the clock to protect children from the harsh winter weather and give them a future to look forward to. We’re there in refugee camps and host communities, ensuring children have access to the food, water and medical care they desperately need.
Together, we can help thousands of people this winter. Last year we distributed food packs to over 10,000 families with essential emergency relief items to help protect against the freezing weather. With your help, we hope to reach many more this year.
