Zakat Applicable

The Tharparkar district in the Sindh province of Pakistan has once again been facing a drought-like situation and the severe lack of food, water, and medical facilities has been taking people’s lives unnecessarily. Sadly, children and women affected are among the most vulnerable. Our disaster and emergency relief packages are designed to help those most in need.

For every 1,000 children born, approximately 45-50 do not survive and up to 90-100 die within their first five years of birth due to malnourishment in expecting women coupled with poor post-natal care.

Malnourishment or medical problems associated with it is sure to increase the number of deaths over the coming days. The people of Tharparkar are fighting for their lives and we must act now to save them. The most vulnerable people, including the sick, elderly, children, and nursing women, face greater health dangers while they wait for basic assistance.

Please join Al Mustafa Welfare Trust and help the people of Tharparkar with our emergency relief packages.

The Importance of Rabi Ul Awaal

For Muslims around the world, this month carries immense significance and importance. For those who are not familiar with this term, Rabi-ul-Awwal is the third month of the Islamic calendar, after Muharram and Safar. It is the birth month of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH); the last Prophet and Messenger of Allah (SWT). Different countries celebrate this month in different ways, depending on which part of the world you live in. However, the idea behind all celebrations is the same, though.

The blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal has begun. It is a month of celebration as well as introspection. As responsible Muslims, we should evaluate our role in society and make further efforts for its continued improvement. Those of us who are lucky to be blessed with wealth have a duty to support others, especially orphan children—who are among the most vulnerable segment of our society.

A great way to celebrate Rabi-ul-Awwal is to honour Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s teachings. The Prophet emphasised the importance of helping others and carrying out charity work whenever an opportunity presents itself. Follow in the Holy Prophet’s teachings’ this month.
