The Tharparkar district in the Sindh province of Pakistan has been facing a series of struggles over recent years. A drought-like situation has struck Tharparkar, resulting in a severe lack of food, water, and medical supplies. These conditions have had devastating consequences, claiming countless innocent lives.

Al Mustafa Welfare Trust’s Pakistan charity appeal will help to ease the burdens facing Tharparkar residents who are struggling to survive. Sadly, women and children are among the most vulnerable, which is why we must work together to bring about positive change to our brothers and sisters in their time of need.

A Daily Struggle for Survival

In this part of the world, for every 1,000 children born, approximately 40-50 do not survive and up to 90-100 of these die within their first five years of birth. This is primarily caused by malnourishment in expecting women coupled with poor post-natal care in recent years.

These staggering statistics mean that we must do everything we can to support expecting mothers, new-born babies, and young children throughout the first few years of their lives. Our children are our future, and we must do what we can to ensure they are able to reach their full potential.

Helping Those in Need

Malnourishment and the numerous medical problems that are associated with it continue to cause loss of life in Pakistan each and every day. The people of Tharparkar have no choice but to fight for their lives – we must act now to save them.

Some of the most vulnerable people are the sick, elderly, children and expecting or new mothers. These groups are already more susceptible, so the additional health benefits they face while waiting for basic assistance can be devastating.

Doesn’t every child deserve a chance to enjoy the best possible start in life? Al Mustafa Welfare Trust is committed and dedicated to supporting those in need across the world, young or old.
