Water & Sanitation
Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust use easy and cost effective solutions to provide safe drinking water, effective sanitation and hygiene education to the world’s poorest people. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) reports, after the catastrophic floods that hit Pakistan in July 2010, underground water became highly contaminated which subsequently posed a high risk to 3.5 million children from high being infected from various epidemics and deadly water-borne diseases such as watery diarrhoea and dysentery. Recognizing the medical risks posed to the flood victims, Al-Mustafa managed to provided 150 new hand pumps, which had been installed at more depth where clean water could be easily pumped for daily usage.

Water Aid Update
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide clean water we have undertaken tube well installs in Nepal.
Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust's Water and Sanitation Waqf offers communities both the practical and educational means to overcome problems associated with the lack of clean water and sanitation facilities.
We often take the availability of safe drinking water for granted yet for millions of people this one issue is the most challenging part of their daily lives; a challenge which is often left unfulfilled as people die each day as a result of drinking contaminated water or nothing at all.
