Impact of our work

In accordance with the WHO reports, AMWT has implemented key measures to reduce the impact of water borne diseases by the provision of clean drinking water and improved sanitation. These basic facilities underpin human development, enabling people to enjoy a cleaner and healthier lifestyle. Our projects enable communities to achieve a better quality of life and escape the spiral of poverty.

The overwhelming majority of people that suffer from the lack of clean water and sanitation are children. As a result, 5000 children die every day from preventable waterborne diseases which equates to a staggering 1.4 million dying annually due to unsafe drinking water. To date, AMWT has helped many hundred and thousands of children and their families in the most poorest countries receive clean drinking water and sanitation. These include:

Installation of 150 water pumps
Installation of 12 Agricultural Tube wells
Installation of 5 Water Treatment Plants


	An old and poor woman from Pakistan (District Khaniwal) was able to access clean water at her door step after Al-Mustafa helped install a water pump at her house. “I was used to travelling one and a half miles every day to get the water for my daily use. I requested Al-Mustafa to help me as I always became sick due to my age and was unable to travel for water every day. They installed the water pump at my house. This water pump has made my life so much better and easier.” (Fatima Kusar)

Before, got used to helping my mother to carry water from the other side of the village every day, which wasn't even clean. After the installation of this pump I have alot more time on my hands and now I can concentrate on my studies and have recreational time to play cricket.” (Jeevan from Nepal)
