Education
In today’s world, it is more important than ever to ensure that children in developing countries have access to a good quality education system. There are almost 35 million children that are unable to attend schools in Africa, compared to over 28 million children in Asia and rest of the world standing at 12 million. Therefore, in the third world and developing countries, education could be the key tool to break the vicious poverty cycle. Education allows people to develop the technical and leadership skills which help the poor to come out of the poverty trap.

AMWT is running more than 12 schools and vocational institutes in Pakistan, Kashmir and Bangladesh on a routine basis, where thousands of students are attaining their primary and secondary education. We have invested considerable resources to ensure the highest level of quality free education is available to the poor as well as providing school uniform, textbooks and free travel. AMWT also provides opportunities to attain education and continue the routine during natural disaster or emergency. As disaster or emergency disrupts every aspect of daily life, this should not be hindrance to receiving education.
Therefore, AMWT ensures that children should continue their education in the event of such calamities by providing ‘Al-Mustafa Emergency Tent Schools’ to keep the routine of education alive. AMWT has established 800 tent schools so far around the globe during disasters and emergencies. 50 tent schools were established for flood victims of Pakistan where free books, school stationary/bags and food were provided in different flood victim areas.
