  • Famous Personalities of Muslim Community presented the Pakistan Achievement Award to Chairman of Al Mustafa Welfare Trust® Abdul Razzaq Sajid at parliament house during a function organized by Urdu Times, a leading Pakistani newspaper based in the UK. Other dignitaries present at the award ceremony included Lord Qurban Hussain, renowned anchorman of GEO TV Sohail Wariach and a large number of other public figures.

    Urdu Times selected Abdul Razzaq Sajid for his worldwide efforts to fight against blindness. In 2013 AMWT® undertook over 5,000 cataract surgeries and screened 74,000 eye patients as well as distribute medicines and eye sight glasses. During the 2013 campaign AMWT® organized free eye camps in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kashmir, Somalia, Nigeria and Gaza (Palestine). Addressing the participants, the chairman of AMWT® pledged a promise that her would like to provide a goal of 10,000 cataract surgeries and 100,000 eye checks 2014. He quoted “We want to set up free eye camps in Asia and Africa and ensure free treatment for vulnerable patients. We also appeal for donation to our donors, supporters and philanthropists for our eyesight restoration campaign”.
